Returns & QC Associate - Calgary

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Returns Associate processes product returns and supports warehouse staff and other departments in various tasks. The QC Associate’s job is to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of Purity Life branded products and third party products while making sure that they are compliant with applicable regulations in order to maintain Purity Life’s good standing with various branches of Health Canada.   

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

•    Unpack returned merchandise, inspect product condition and assess the return authorization form.
•    Return items to their proper location considering all factors including the value of the product, its condition and type of return.
•    Input clear notes in internal computer systems. Communicate return reasons, customer feedback and instructions to ensure accurate processing.
•    Identify critical product issues and report them to the Manager.
•    Approve and release incoming NPN products that are Purity Life branded products and third party products by reviewing the product, COA and complete release paperwork.
•    Communicate with external contacts like third party importers of the NPN products to complete the product release process.
•    Communicate any findings or problem and successfully recommend resolutions to Manager when necessary.
•    Maintains QA/QC/RA and GMP related documents and records as needed.
•    Performs investigations as needed and/or work with Manager regarding products complaint in order to find solutions and corrective actions.
•    Check and monitor various GMP processes like temperature & humidity data, cleaning log, pest control reports on a weekly basis.
•    Perform inventory removal procedures for short dated, expired, over-stock and other kind of products to be removed from stock.
•    Inspect and move products to the quarantine area.
•    Collaborate and work with the warehouse staff for various tasks.
•    Other tasks as required to meet team and company goals.

SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE

•    3-5 years of prior returns/warehouse/QA/QC or similar experience and education.
•    Being a lift truck and order picker certified is an asset or should be open to get certified.
•    Communicate professionally, both written and verbal form.
•    Basic computer skills (e.g. personal computers, printers, email, Office Word, Excel and Outlook). Actively support team goals and effectively communicate with team members.
•    Being coachable and know how to prioritize various daily tasks
•    Be self-motivated and maintain individual productivity and required standards.
•    Focus and remain on tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•    Fluent verbal and written communication in English. French is an asset.
•    Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures and protocol.
•    Prior experience in a distribution, warehouse, or other inventory handling environment.
