ABOUT THE JOB
Truck Drivers load and deliver orders to customers in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, providing customers with the high level of customer service that is expected of Purity Life representatives. Truck Drivers are required to strictly follow safety protocols while performing their job.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform delivery routes 4 days per week
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Maintain safety standards while driving and handling goods
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain cleanliness of the cab at all times
- Complete required paperwork, including bills of lading and invoices
- Perform additional or extra routes as schedules may change from time to time
- Some overtime may be required based on operational needs
- Operate trucks safely under various road and weather conditions, as well as manoeuvre in areas where space is limited.
- Exhibit defensive driving at all times, following all safety and traffic regulations.
- Load and secure products efficiently using equipment such as pallet wrap, load bars, bungee cords and ropes.
- Operate various pieces of equipment safely, including, but not limited to: pallet movers, manual pallet jacks, dollies, power tailgate, etc.
- Handle products, returns, and credits appropriately.
- Unload trucks at the end of the day, storing products and equipment properly.
- Perform miscellaneous operational duties like pallet exchanges.
- Accurately log trips in SAMSARA
QUALIFICATIONS + EXPECTATIONS:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Experience operating a 5-ton delivery truck
- Familiarity with delivery routes within the Greater Victoria area
- Strong defensive driving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Strong customer service skills are an asset
COMPENSATION + WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full-time and permanent position with options for overtime as required.
The hourly rate is $24.00. We provide extended health + dental benefits after 3-months of employment.
