We are currently seeking a Receiver/Stocker at our Burnaby location, part of our Purity Life Grocery division. 

ABOUT THE JOB
This is a vital role in our operations; in includes receiving product, storing the product in overhead locations, and then moving it to pick locations. This role works in our dry storage area, and may help in the cooler and/or freezer if needed, operates machinery, and palletizes the order as it is being picked. The person in this role needs to be comfortable working within time constraints, and at a fast pace. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow Food Safety and GDP guidelines.
• Receive product using scanners - verify PO's, product in the shipmnent, examine for discrepancies and/or damage.
• Store product in designated overhead locations.
• Use scanners to monitor replenishment needs and move product to pick locations.
• Be familiar with warehouse layout, including directional access and location codes.
• Adhere to safety standards, both in equipment use and in work procedures.
• Learn and follow spill clean-up procedures.
• Participate in inventory as required.
• Assist with general warehouse clean-up/housekeeping.
• Assist with picking orders as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS + EXPECTATIONS:

• Must have previous warehouse picking and replenishment/stocking experience.
• High level of physical ability and endurance.
• Can lift up to 50lbs.
• Repeated lifting, bending, twisting, standing, reaching.
• Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously; be self-directed and complete work independently.
• Reading comprehension of alphanumeric codes.
• Food Safety trained (not required).
• Machine operation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse (distribution) operations and flow.

COMPENSATION + WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full-time and permanent position (40 hours/week) with options for overtime as required. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 3-11pm.
The starting rate is $24.02/hour, with a $1/hour premium for hours worked after 9pm. We have extended benefits available after 3 months.
