Summary of Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Systems & IT, this position is responsible for the operational management, security coordination, and governance of Purity Life’s systems ecosystem. This is a new role.

 

The role will lead day-to-day systems operations, strengthen IT security practices, manage cross-platform user access, and assist in overseeing operational relationships with external partners including Supra ITS, Modular, Zeus, BizXcel, and others.

 

The position works collaboratively with the Systems & Workflow Development Specialist and plays a key leadership role in maintaining reliability, compliance, and integrity of our systems infrastructure.

 

This is an on-site position at our Acton head office.

 

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations Leadership & Supra Coordination

  • Serve as primary operational lead for Supra ITS on security alerts, infrastructure updates, ongoing maintenance, and incident response coordination.
  • Oversee approval workflows for email account changes, Microsoft 365 group updates, and travel access requirements.
  • Manage coordination of IT maintenance cycles including:
    • Internet cutovers and redundancy improvement initiatives
    • Hardware evergreening
    • Scheduled outages and system upgrades
  • Lead the KnowBe4 security awareness program, including reporting, compliance tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Own and improve the new user onboarding/offboarding process, ensuring timely provisioning and security compliance.
  • Manage procurement of IT peripherals and small equipment, optimizing vendor relationships and internal inventory management.

 

Systems Governance & Application Administration

QlikView & Reporting Ecosystem

  • Own governance of QlikView access, security groups, and data permissions.
  • Act as operational lead with contracted support, coordinating reporting development, troubleshooting, and enhancement requests.
  • Maintain vendor report distribution, consignment tracking, and other recurring reporting structures.
  • Monitor daily refresh cycles, troubleshoot failures, and ensure business-critical reporting reliability.

CustomerLink & PLIC

  • Oversee user administration, access governance, and first-level escalations.
  • Approve and coordinate system updates and configuration changes.
  • Strengthen access processes, including 2FA support and external-user security protocols.
  • Establish support standards for recurring PLIC user inquiries and operational tasks.

Modular (AS400) Administration & PLIC

  • Lead the transition and ongoing management of Modular security and access administration within the Systems & IT department.
  • Own upload processes, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and compliance.
  • Work with internal users and Zeus Support to address escalated issues and update requirements.

Cross-Platform Access, Security & Operational Controls

  • Develop and maintain standardized governance practices for access management across:
    • SharePoint
    • Monday.com
    • Adobe
    • PLIC
    • Modular
    • Other enterprise systems
  • Coordinate internal audits, security reviews, and compliance documentation related to system access and data handling.
  • Build and maintain operational SOPs for systems tasks, establishing clarity and long-term repeatability.

Collaboration, Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, Systems & IT, to align operational work with strategic initiatives.
  • Support cross-departmental communication and ensure users receive timely, accurate system guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, create efficiencies, and enhance system reliability.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects impacting systems, security, and data governance.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the Systems & Workflow Development Specialist where responsibilities overlap.

 

Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent practical experience in a business, systems, or technology-related role.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in roles involving systems support, customer service operations, business process coordination, or administrative systems management.
  • Proven experience working with enterprise systems or databases, including entering, maintaining, and validating data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to support users, investigate issues, and coordinate resolutions across multiple departments or external partners.
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Prior experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments with competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to troubleshooting and supporting users.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • A desire to make systems more efficient, reliable, and user-friendly.
