We are currently seeking a Class 1 Driver at our Victoria location, part of our Purity Life Grocery division. 

 

ABOUT THE JOB
The Class 1 Driver delivers and picks up health and grocery products across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. The role focuses on safe, accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining truck and product safety standards.  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate trucks safely under various road and weather conditions, as well as manoeuvre in areas where space is limited. 
  • Exhibit defensive driving at all times, following all safety and traffic regulations.
  • Load and secure products efficiently using equipment such as pallet wrap, load bars, bungee cords and ropes. 
  • Operate various pieces of equipment safely, including, but not limited to: pallet movers, manual pallet jacks, dollies, power tailgate, etc.
  • Deliver orders accurately and assist customers courteously; handle payments or paperwork as needed.
  • Handle products, returns, and credits appropriately. 
  • Conduct daily pre-trip inspections, perform maintenance when needed, and complete post-trip checks. 
  • Keep trucks clean on the inside.
  • Unload trucks at the end of the day, storing products and equipment properly. 
  • Perform miscellaneous operational duties like pallet exchanges. 
  • Accurately log trips in SAMSARA.

 

QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license, with clean driver abstract.
  • Flexibility in weekly schedules (most weeks follow a standard route).
  • Experience in local and highway driving, knowledge of the Lower Mainland is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of safe loading and product handling practices.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and good communication skills. 
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks independently. 

 

COMPENSATION + WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full-time and permanent position. The work schedule is 4 days per week (typically Monday to Thursday), with variable start times depending on the route.
The hourly wage is $30.00, and we provide extended health + dental benefits after 3-months of employment for eligible employees.
